Take a break from the craziness in our world and watch for 100 seconds or so as a beautiful Monarch butterfly flutters carefree, ignoring the soft wind and moving among the abundant blooms of my Asclepias tuberosa (Hello Yello) perennials.
I shot this short video (1:45) this morning after I looked out the window of my office and watched as the butterfly went about its work, pollinating or doing whatever butterflies do. The video is set to Piano Sonata No. 21 in C by Ludwig Van Beethoven.
As the butterfly fluttered about, Donald Trump was on the television in the background, saying once again that the president of Ukraine should investigate Joe Biden. Talk of impeachment continued.
I turned off the TV and watched the butterfly. What a relief!
The TV is staying off for the rest of the day.
