So Biden blew it at the first presidential; debateThursday night. We would certainly expect the Republicans to have a field day with his performance. They have been disrespecting President Biden about his age throughout his presidency and during the campaign leading up to his election, so, great for them, for now.
Frankly, the Republicans would not have to say a word about Biden’s demeanor and many gaffs during the debate because the Democrats are airing it in the news whenever they can get a microphone in hand.
Why won’t the Democrats focus on Trump? If the tables were turned and Trump had stammered and seemed too old to carry on at the debate, keeping in mind he is only three years younger than Biden, his base would be shouting that Biden’s team had slipped a sedative in his water and that was the problem.
We don’t need to go that far because Trump is the gift that keeps on giving as far as bad performances anywhere are concerned.
The Trump gang should be worried that the Democrats are going to be shouting about the fact that their guy lied at every turn, refused to answer direct questions and spent his time declaring that Biden was the worst president ever. Did anyone notice that he is still whining that the election in 2020 was rigged?
This isn’t the first time that Democrats have not defended their own guy. They did the same thing when Bill Clinton was being demonized for his little dalliance with Monica Lewinsky.
No one in the Democratic Party came forward to note that it was a bit unusual that a sweet, young thing like Lewinsky had a bestie who was much older than she, Linda Tripp, who just happened to be a Republican, and just happened to be the catalyst to air the little affair.
Yes, Clinton was wrong, but did he deserve to be dragged through the mud as he was? And why did the sweet young thing keep a soiled dress hanging in her closet for two years? Where were the Democrats then? Many of them either remained silent or agreed that Clinton did a terrible thing.
Democrats, shut up!
Make an effort to stand by our guy at this time. It’s a little late in the game to jump ship on Biden with the election just four months away. Now you’re worried about our president’s age? Where have you been these past many months? Did anyone think about grooming a younger candidate much earlier in the race?
How about getting behind Biden now? Stop pointing out his faults and help him carry the ball. He is the only one who has the courage and the experience to beat Trump and save our democracy. So, Democrats shut up!
After all, people, that is what's at stake.
