DONALD AT THE BAT: REQUIEM FOR A MADMAN

The twenty-twenty outlook was alarming on that day,

arriving mail-in ballots meant more mayhem on the way.

When FOX called Arizona for Joe Biden early-on,

a sickly silence fell upon disciples of The Don.

A frenzied few dismissed “STRIKE ONE” – The Donald in despair,

Trump’s septic scent was so intense his essence soiled the air.

Convinced this “Stable Genius” would repel the Dems’ attack,

they’d closed their eyes to treason just to bring this bigot back!

Corruption and self-dealing sprout like thorns from Donald’s crown,                  

his pathologic lying cloaks an incoherent clown.

Mismanaging the crisis Trump in one psychotic speech,         

suggested curing COVID by ingesting household bleach.

Truth Social’s but a honeypot to pacify The Don,

a pump-and-dump portfolio, perhaps another con.

It loses millions every month – it sputters and it spurts,

the day The Donald dumps his shares investors lose their shirts!

Trump brags of his bravado groping women’s private parts,

he grabs them by the P-word then denounces them as tarts.

His abject immorality and “Catch & Kill” campaigns,

hid sexual assaults which would have handed Joe the reins.

When paying off a porn star Donald cooked-the-books to hide,

financial declarations that were wildly falsified.

Adultery’s endemic, Trump went out on ALL three wives,

assaulting women, groping teens, contaminating lives.

Perversely pleased – if not relieved – Ukraine had been attacked, 

The Don was downright rapturous Navalny had been whacked. 

Trump’s undisguised disgust for those in uniform is sick –

he’d sooner polish Putin’s boots… the ones he likes to lick. 

A Bible-flaunting Philistine unable to recite,

The Lord’s Prayer OR a proverb OR a psalm is quite a sight.

Trump’s NEVER read the Bible, let alone the Book of Job,

his inspiration stems instead from Leopold & Loeb!

And just like despots ’round the world, Trump pledges to bring down,

the “VERMIN” who evicted him and took away his crown.  

A rabid insurrectionist, erratic and irate,

he’d not allow a challenger to “STEAL” another state. 

Ten million eyes were on him as he rallied his elite,

foreshadowing a “bloodbath” should he suffer a defeat.

Coercing state officials with a sermon from the mount,

Trump sought to have BRAD RAFFENSBERGER fabricate the count.

The State of Georgia stood its ground as Donald huffed & puffed,

despite his histrionics Trump was brutally rebuffed.

From throats of MAGA militants, their voices loud and shrill,

they thundered ’cross the fruited plain, they hurtled up The Hill.

The leaderboard had Trump behind – abandoned by his base,

“FIND FAKE ELECTORS!” bellowed Trump, hell-bent to win the race.

Trump’s cognitive impairment was apparent on the mound,

“Das Führer’s fine!” fanatics feigned, SIEG HEILING all-around.

Unleashing MAGA madness from Trump’s resurrected Reich,

they lionized this fulminating Fascist at the mic.

As once-contested swing states were continuing to flip,

defiance danced in Donald’s eye, a sneer curled ’round his lip.

With vengeance his objective Donald stepped up to the plate,

demanding retribution, fueling falsehoods, sowing hate.

And when responding to the hordes arose this autocrat,

no critic in the crowd could doubt ’twas Donald at the bat.

The bleachers swelled with supplicants amid a mighty roar,

like “HOWARD BEALE” Trump swore he wouldn’t take this anymore.        

Though cohorts railed “the race was rigged,” Trump’s losses were legit,

inciting insurrection was sedition he’d commit!

As Michigan and Penn were called, the ump cried out “STRIKE TWO!”

TRUMP KNEW THE ONLY WAY TO WIN — FOMENT A BLOODY COUP!

High crimes and misdemeanors in collusion with a cult,

should land The Donald in the dock with Rikers the result.

“DON’T CERTIFY THE COUNT!” implored The Don that fateful day,

but Mike maintained the Founding Fathers had the final say.

Trump partnered with the Proud Boys, Three Percenters and the Klan,

to desecrate the Capitol and execute their plan.

They pledged to flog officials in a white-hot war of nerves,

then “Hang Mike Pence” which Trump affirmed was just what Pence deserves!

Indifferent to the violence Trump would NOT deploy the Guard,

he’d “carpet-bombed” the Capitol INTENDING it be scarred. 

The madding crowd had gone berserk – Trump watching on TV,

Trump wouldn’t quell the violence cause… it’s what he’d longed to see!

Ignoring pleas from Senators, his Cabinet and staff,

Trump’s abdication of his oath foretells his epitaph.

In tampering with witnesses, collusion would ensue, 

Trump pardoned co-conspirators – he’ll free J-6’ers too.

And for the record – HOOLIGANS – not “HOSTAGES” at all,

had launched the insurrection that begat that bloody brawl.

Trump paints them all as “PATRIOTS,” a sacrilege indeed,

their role that day – SUBVERT THE VOTE – and make the Beltway bleed!    

Trump stacked the court with dissidents to topple Roe v. Wade, 

he torched a woman’s right to choose, long-settled law now stayed.

He ransacked secret documents, obstructed D.O.J.,

“SUSPEND THE CONSTITUTION!” fumed the man with feet of clay.

A Neo-Nazi Nihilist Trump argues migrant blood,

is “poisoning our country,” dragging migrants through the mud.

Trump’s father’s parents? IMMIGRANTS from Kallstadt, GERMANY,

Melania’s SLOVENIAN! … WHAT RANK HYPOCRISY!

Trump catered to the Kremlin while forsaking friends abroad,

an addle-minded anarchist, a coward and a fraud.

While VICTOR ORBON breastfed Trump – the losing dice were tossed,

yet Putin’s “USEFUL IDIOT” would not admit he lost!

Trump bullied judges’ families, he pilloried the press,   

he vowed to kill OBAMACARE in spite of its success.

Like Mussolini – DONALD’S MUSE – Trump boasted he’d be back,

to deify his destiny as Leader of the Pack.

Trump’s businesses were molded on a mobbed-up lawyer’s knee,

Roy Cohn was Donald’s mentor and The Donald his mentee.

And just like Joe McCarthy, Cohn was crooked as they come, 

THE DONALD – A DEGENERATE – FELT RIGHT AT HOME WITH SCUM.

Apocalyptic rhetoric exposed Trump’s steep descent,

into a world of manifestly criminal intent.

A wannabe John Gotti, Trump routinely breaks the law,

A LIFELONG WHITE SUPREMACIST, A RACIST IN THE RAW.

Among his most subversive sins Trump sodomized a bill,

a LANDMARK IMMIGRATION ACT that made it to The Hill.

Bi-partisan support was broad, it would have made it through,

but Trump condemned it with contempt and claims that weren’t true.   

The most aggressive border bill both parties ever backed,

was buoyed by Republicans who championed the act.

It would have meant more agents and expansions to the wall,

more daily deportations flights – a MASSIVE overhaul.

For those who traffic Fentanyl enforcement would expand,

IMMEDIATE SOLUTIONS TO THESE CRISES WERE AT HAND!

Republicans and Democrats were dealing with it all,

THE CAVALRY’D BE COMING, THEY’D BE ANSWERING THE CALL!

But Donald dines on discontent, bamboozling his base,

HE KILLED THE BILL WHILE IN ITS CRIB – ’TWAS THAT OR LOSE THE RACE! 

Asylum-seekers – so enraged – when Trump disgorged their kids,

that Independents went for Joe and Donald hit the skids.

When twenty-twenty’s tally tolled “TWO-SEVENTY AND DONE!”

THE AIR WAS SHATTERED BY THE FACT THAT DONALD HAD NOT WON.

Ambiguous and imprecise, their ruling’s a charade, 

with standards “indeterminate” the framers were betrayed!

Defining what’s “OFFICIAL” versus what’s a “PRIVATE” act,

MAY WELL BE UNACHIEVABLE… BECAUSE THIS COURT’S BEEN PACKED.

Near “ABSOLUTE IMMUNITY” – upheld by six-of-nine,

has damaged our democracy and hastened its decline.

With SCOTUS in-the-tank for Trump we’re left in shock and awe,    

THAT ONCE-AND-FUTURE PRESIDENTS MAY BE ABOVE THE LAW!

From Lexington & Concord to a harbor filled with tea,

we’ve cast aside usurpers who defied democracy.

Subversively this court’s ordained a PAPAL PRESIDENT,

THE FOUNDING FATHERS WOULD HAVE PENNED A BLISTERING DISSENT!

An unconstrained autocracy – a “law-free-zone” unchecked,

Did Trump declare a “CODE RED” too? YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT HE DID!
