GOP: The Law & Order Party? Give Me a Break!

Republicans saluting Trump like a bunch of tin soldiers.
Is the GOP the Law and Order party? Not when it comes to Donald Trump.

The Republican Party has long branded itself as the party of law and order, but its record in recent years demonstrates that it really is the party of many lies when it comes to Donald Trump.

Check out the record of "The Law & Order Party" whose members were quiet . . .

...When Republican nominee Donald Trump was caught on tape admitting that he had committed multiple acts of sexual assault . . .

...When that same nominee was accused (with solid evidence) of paying a porn star hooker for sex and then for her silence . . .

...When it was determined that Russia tried to interfere with the 2016 presidential election, and when its’ member spoke, they did so in support of advancing conspiracy theories related to that interference . . .

...When President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey to slow or prevent the FBI’s investigation into the Russia scandal . . .

...When President Trump tried to bribe the Ukrainian president in exchange for help getting him elected . . .

...When President Trump and/or his companies profited from foreign governments during his presidency, in clear violation of the United States Constitution’s Emolument Clause . . .

...When now President Trump was being investigated for real estate and/or bank fraud in New York . . .They were more than quiet; they were defiant.

...When tape recordings demonstrated that President Trump asked the Georgia Secretary of State to find him 11,000 votes . . .

...When President Trump incited, then ignored for hours, insurrectionist violence on January 6, 2021. They ignored clashes with the police, the death of one officer, and the injuries of many others, and refused to call for support or make a statement to stop the violence . . .

(Note: When the GOP finally spoke, many called the insurrection a peaceful protest.)

...When the former president encouraged an assault on his former Vice President Mike Pence . . .

Finally, they were defiant as they aggressivly encouraged violence against public servants, accusing federal law enforcement officials of “gestapo” tactics for executing a valid warrant that produced evidence that Trump violated laws that prohibit concealing, removing, or damaging federal documents.

Three “Law & Order” Senate Republicans were adamant about Trumps’ bad behavior back when they ran against him in the 2016 primaries:

Lindsay Graham said Donald Trump was unfit for office, a kook, crazy, and a jackass . . .

Ted Cruz called Donald Trump a pathological liar, a serial philanderer, and a narcissist . . .

Marco Rubio described Donald Trump as an erratic individual who spent a career sticking it to working people, the most vulgar person to ever aspire to the presidency, and a con artist who started a fake university to swindle money from its students and who also bankrupted four companies . . .

Today, these three men are among the former president’s biggest apologists and supporters, while excusing his criminal or unethical behavior . . .

The “Law & Order Party? Today’s Republican Party? Give me a break!
