NFN Poll: Opposing Trump Environmental Actions

In a week marked by impassioned protests at the United Nations and around the world over climate change, Not Fake News readers unanimously expressed their opposition to actions by the Trump administration to weaken regulatory environmental protections.

Readers responding to NFN's Snap Poll this past week disapproved 32-0 the overall effort by Trump and his Environmental Protection (?) Agency to dismantle rules intended to reduce harmful emissions into the environment, emissions that the world's top scientists warn are contributing to global warming and its tragic consequences for planet earth.

Just consider the level to which the EPA has sunk since Trump swept into office with his pro-business, pro-carbon, anti-Obama, anti-environmentalist agenda, rolling back 85 environmental rules in less than three years.

Ironically, this week was also marked by word from the Trump administration that it will withhold highway funding from the state of California unless it takes fast action to clean up its air. This is the same administration that said it will revoke California's right to set auto emission requirements that are more strict than national requirements.

The worldwide climate change demonstrations, which involved millions of students in many countries, were highlighted by the emotional speech of 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, who excoriated world leaders for being all talk and no action when it comes to dealing with climate change.

Of course, the week came to a climax when the House of Representatives, led by Democrats, launched formal impeachment proceedings against Trump following the whistleblower report about the president's efforts to enlist the help of a foreign government, Ukraine, against his potential Democratic rival, former vice president Joe Biden.

There were signals today that House Democrats intend to waste no time in moving the impeachment process forward as they issued their first subpoena, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and new polls showed that public support for impeachment had jumped by 7 percent since the scandal broke.

Thus, our new NFN Snap Poll will return to the impeachment question for the coming week. The question: Given the "whistleblower's" revelation of President Trump's attempt to enlist the help of a foreign leader against his potential rival, Joe Biden, should the House of Representatives impeach the president? Yes, No, Undecided.

Please respond. Deadline is next Friday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m.

It seems to me Trump has no “common sense” and that should be required to hold the office of President of the UnitedStates! I dont understand how he managed to get into office of any kind!
