How Can Women Become Powerful?

Updated: Oct 2, 2023

Our podcast guest today is Nicole Devlin, life coach and host of the From the Nth Power podcast, who talks about power and how it relates to us in our work/business and personal lives. The episode focuses mostly on women and many of the key issues that women face today.

Nicole's passion comes from 30 years' experience guiding and coaching intelligent people. She says her purpose is to help people grow in alignment with their vision & goals, motivating people into better realities.

Practically and effectively, Nicole has helped many women master the power to reach their highest aspirations through a practice defined by personal responsibility and spirituality.

In her free time, Nicole mentors young women around self-esteem and emotional intelligence. She believes we will change dysfunctional government and business systems by strengthening personal power through spiritual connection and growing self-awareness.

Here are some questions we discuss with Nicole Devlin on Women & Power:

Q. Tell us about the Nth Power Podcast and what you do with it.

Q. Talk a little about your practice and what you do to help women achieve their goals and objectives.

Q. On your website, nicoledevlin.com, you ask this question: Is your job or business making you stuck, frustrated, unhappy, and you invite viewers to take your quiz and find out what to do. But tell us…what are some of the reasons this happens and what’s your advice for those experiencing such frustration or unhappiness?

Q. Also on your website, you say that you “help stuck, intelligent, over-thinking, mid-career professionals find powerful and purposeful work that gives you the freedom to live your most successful life.” Talk about that.

Q. Focusing on women, what questions are NOT being asked around women’s issues today?

Q. How do women keep women stuck? You can’t just blame men, right?

Q. How do women step into greater power without allowing stereotypes to continue to define them?

Q. What needs to happen to increase gender fairness in the workplace? According to the Pew Research Center, in 2022 women earned an average of 82 percent of what men earned for the same work.

Q. Are pay disparities the only issue when it comes to women’s equality in the workplace?

Q. Is there such a thing as “women’s work?”

Q. What about the issue of women’s reproductive rights and the ongoing efforts by many politicians to restrict and even criminalize abortions?

Q. How about home and work-life balance. Is that an especially difficult challenge for women and how do you resolve that?

Q. Your podcast focuses on power. Henry Kissinger once said that “power is the great aphrodisiac.” Do you agree?

Q. I saw that in an episode of your podcast you said you were naked. Why did you do that? What was the result?

Q. You say that we will change dysfunctional government and business systems by strengthening personal power through spiritual connection and growing self-awareness. How so?
