What Would You Do if Your Child Supports Trump?

Blogger Dennis R. Hill, in a terrific blog today, asks this question: How would you react if you found out your child is a Trump supporter?

Hill nails it, and in fact, his blog, which you can always find on Twitter at @Dennis08050A, is absolutely worth a follow. Here are his thoughts about that weighty question:

I have heard of the parents of a child still being able to love a child after he or she had been convicted of robbery, and sent to prison.

I have heard of the parents of a child still being able to love a child after he or she had been convicted of selling drugs, and sent to prison.

I have even heard of the parents of a child still being able to love a child even after he or she had been convicted of murder, and sent to prison.

But, how would you react, and what would you do, if you discovered, that your child is a Trump supporter?

Your first inclination might be to blame yourself for doing such a poor job raising your child. You might blame yourself for not teaching them good values. You might blame yourself for not being able to recognize that your child had shown symptoms of the Trump supporter disease sooner, so you could take corrective action. Maybe you will kick yourself in the ass when you remember that you had once noticed your child watching Fox News, and ignored it.

After that you might start blaming the people that your child was associated with. You might blame their friends, their teachers, and their coaches. You will become obsessed with trying to blame someone.

HOWEVER, you must remember one thing. Your child was influenced by a PROFESSIONAL CON-ARTIST.

We are talking about a con-artist who is so skilled at his craft, that he was able to con people into voting for him even though he himself had gone bankrupt six (6) times.

We are talking about a man who after going Bankrupt six (6) times, was still able to con people into believing he should control the finances of our country.

We are talking about a man can still get people to support him after paying a 25 Million Dollar fine, because he committed fraud.

Trump is so good at conning people that he was able to get Evangelicals to support him even though they know that he cheated on 100% of his wives, walked out on 80% of his children, and was caught paying hush money to silence porn stars and playboy models he had affairs with.

And, even though he has lost our country and raised the National Debt by SIX (6) TRILLION 723 BILLION DOLLARS in less than four (4) years after campaigning that he would “Wipe-Out” the National Debt, he can still con people into supporting him.

Yes, your child was dealing with an expert con-artist. He conned a lot of people. Trump only lost the popular vote in the 2016 election by three (3) million votes. He conned over 60 Million Americans.

You need to find a way to forgive your child. It will take time, it will take patience, but your child needs your love now more than ever before.

You are right, Dennis. It's time to kick Trump the Faker out on his butt. He's a danger to our kids, along with everyone else.
