Will History Repeat Itself?

Even as new revelations regarding the Trump Ukraine affair continue to emerge, the looming question is this: Will the history of Watergate repeat itself as Congressional investigators will eventually hear from at least two "Deep Throats" and lawmakers are faced with a gut check decision, to vote for impeachment -- and or conviction -- or not.
Those "Deep Throats," of course are the (at least) two whistleblowers who have revealed President Trump's attempt to trade $400 million in taxpayer funded foreign aid to Ukraine for information against his possible general election opponent, Democrat Joe Biden.
The revelation of whistleblower number one prompted Trump to make public a "rough" transcript of his phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in his "hey, pal, can you do me a favor?" request. Now, today, it was reported that whistleblower number two is ready to come forward with first-hand information, a development that will blow big holes in Trump's charge that the first whistleblower's information is "second hand," and thus, should not be given credibility.
And, like Watergate, lawmakers will eventually be forced to make that gut check decision, one that will be especially difficult for Republican senators facing difficult election challenge.
