My wife, Jackie, is about 5'3" and weighs maybe 120 pounds. She's been a size 4 forever. But while by any definition she's a small person, the same cannot be said....drumroll please...for her feet. They are size 10.
Today she's wearing one of her favorite pairs of running shoes -- gray Nikes with bright -- very bright -- pink trim and laces. I really like those shoes. I think their cool.
But as she looked up from her @JohnGrisham novel, she looked at me with a quizzical look on her face and said, "Do you think these shoes make my feet look big?"
(Editor's note: She just slapped me for writing this.)
Back to the story.
I said, "Sweetie, those shoes don't make your feet look big. Your feet make those shoes look big!"
I got slapped for saying that.
But what can I say? Does she want me to lie? She's a little woman with big feet. But she's cute as hell!
