So rocker Ted Nugent believes that Democrats, the media and academics are nothing more than "rapid coyotes" that should be shot on sight. Well, Ted, we do have freedom of speech in this country, which protects your hateful comments, but guess what?
We also have freedom of the press.
A National Rifle Association board member, Nugent made the comments in an interview with InfoWars host Alex Jones, a right-wing conspiracy theorist who said he wanted to know why liberals hate America and "love communism."
"Don't ask why," Nugent said. "Just know that evil, dishonesty and scam artists have always been around and that right now they're liberal, they're Democrat, they're RINOs, they're Hollywood, they're fake news, they're media, they're academia, and they're half of our government, at least."
"So come to that realization," he added, "There are rabid coyotes running around, you don't wait till you see one to go get your gun, keep your gun handy. And every time you see one, shoot one."
Nugent's comments, of course, are despicable enough, but they came just days after he called Parkland High School survivors of the Valentine's Day massacre there "liars" and "poor, mushy-brained children."
What to say except that Nugent is a disgusting shill for the NRA and his right wing nutcase cronies. Oh, yea, I went to Google to check out his music and we have such classics as "Stranglehold," "Stormtroopin'" and "Cat Scratch Fever." So, I'm sure he'll go down as one of the great musicians of our time.
What a jerk.
Oh, and Mr. Jones, liberals don't hate America and "love communism." We are trying to protect America from a would-be dictator who's in bed with Putin. Last I heard, Putin is a communist. Check your facts, goofball.
