What if states begin passing laws regulating men's bodies, just as they are now doing with these draconian abortion bills that are the brainchildren of male dominated Republican state legislatures?

A female state legislator in Texas has proposed a bill that would impose strict restrictions on men in retaliation for anti-abortion laws, including those that provide extreme penalties on women who obtain abortions and on doctors who provide them.
Rep. Jessica Farrar's bill would impose a $100 fine every time a man masturbates -- except under supervision inside approved health care and medical facilities.
Under the bill, Any “unregulated masturbatory emissions outside of a woman’s vagina, or created outside of a health or medical facility, will be charged a $100 civil penalty for each emission, and will be considered an act against an unborn child, and failing to preserve the sanctity of life.”
The bill would also promote “fully abstinent sexual relations” and create a “Hospital Masturbatory Assistance Registry” to “provide fully-abstinent encouragement counseling, supervising physicians for masturbatory emissions, and storage for the semen...for the purposes of conception for a current or future wife.”
Her bill would require any doctor providing a vasectomy or prescribing Viagra to first read a ‘Man’s Right to Know’ booklet with the patient. That's Farrar's response to current Texas law that requires doctors to give women considering an abortion a “Women’s Right to Know” booklet, which she considers a “guilt mechanism”designed to get the woman to change her mind.
She also criticised the Texas law requiring a woman to have a trans-vaginal ultrasound before she can have an abortion as an “invasive, medically unnecessary procedure [where] one of the state's objectives is to guilt her into changing her mind."
In retaliation, her bill would require the attending physician to administer a medically-unnecessary digital rectal exam and magnetic resonance imagining of the man's rectum before administering an elective vasectomy or colonoscopy procedure or prescribing Viagra.”
Fortunately for men in Texas, Rep. Farrar's bill is her attempt to satirize the way women are being treated It's her response to the lunacy that's taking place these days in some GOP-controlled state legislators, including Texas. She knows it has zero chance of becoming law. But still...
Meanwhile...
In Georgia, where a "fetal heartbeat" bill is heading towards becoming law, state Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick has instructed her legislative counsel to prepare her "Testicular Bill of Rights". It would:
Require men to obtain permission from their sexual partner before obtaining a prescription for Viagra.
Ban vasectomies in Georgia, and criminalize the doctors who perform them.
Classify sex without a condom as “aggravated assault.”
Require paternity testing at 8 weeks of pregnancy, and require expectant fathers to begin paying child support immediately.
Require a 24-hour waiting period on any men wishing to purchase any porn or sex toys in the state of Georgia.
Kendrick told Rolling Stone that she is "dead serious." While she knows her bill will not pass, she wants to “bring awareness to the fact that if you’re going to legislate our bodies, then we have every right to propose legislation to regulate yours.”
Kendrick wants to highlight the absurdity of HB 481, approved last Thursday by the Georgia House. It would outlaw most abortions once a doctor can detect a heartbeat in the womb or around six weeks — before many women even realize they might be pregnant.
Passed 93-73, the bill goes to the Georgia State Senate and, if approved, to Gov. Brian Kemp for his signature.
Like the Alabama law, it is an obvious effort to eventually challenge Roe v. Wade in the U.S. Supreme Court.
"It’s unconstitutional on purpose: this is a test case. It is a case to test Roe v. Wade," said Kendrick. "They’re hoping that it gets up to the Court of Appeals — the Eleventh Circuit is one of the most conservative court circuits that we have, and they’re hopeful that they will uphold part of it, and then they’ll take it all the way to the Supreme Court. They know exactly what they are doing. This is intentional.”
All of this brings to mind this thought. Alabama's new law was passed largely by men who dominate the state legislature. However, times are changing and women are becoming much more politically active. Just look at the numbers now running for President. What if one day women take control and dominate politics in the years ahead?
Would those bills in Texas and Georgia signal what might be in the offing for men? How would they like it if one day laws were passed controlling their bodies, their sexuality?
Can you imagine a world in which you would have to go to a clinic to masturbate? Or wait 24 hours to purchase porn? OMG!
