Donald Trump, Jr. on Sunday tweeted a photo of CNN's Anderson Cooper standing in waist-deep water during a hurricane, apparently trying to prove that Cooper was faking the catastrophic conditions of Hurricane Florence in order to hype ratings.
But the truth is that it was Junior who was guilty of faking fake news.

That tweet ramped up a bunch of tweets and memes from Trumpers who love to jump on the Fake News bandwagon. However, they were suckered by Junior.
Turns out that the pic he tweeted wasn't from Hurricane Florence at all. It was from Hurricane Ike in 2008. Anderson said last night he went into the deep water then just to show viewers what local residents were dealing with.
That's good reporting.
"I know he considers himself an outdoorsman and pays a lot of money to be led to wildlife in Africa that he then kills," he said.
"But I’m not sure if he’s actually been to a hurricane or a flood. I didn’t see him down in North Carolina over the last few days helping out, lending a hand, but I’m sure he was doing something important besides just tweeting lies.”
I thought that was pretty good.
Cooper also had this to say: “Some guy said I was on my knees to make it look deep and then went on to say that I was used to being on my knees, which I assume is some sort of anti-gay reference. Very classy.”
